Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a businessman in Irawo, Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State, in an attack that also left a 10-year-old girl injured.
The incident occurred on Monday after the victim was reportedly trailed from Kraal Market, Ago-Are, to his filling station and later to his residence, where he was seized at gunpoint and taken to an unknown destination.
During the attack, the girl sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment and extraction of pellets.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said it was reported at Tede Division at about 10:20 p.m. on May 11, 2026.
