Fintiri Issues Ruthless 48-Hour Ultimatum to ‘Traitorous’ Appointee

YOLA – In a bold move to enforce absolute discipline, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has issued a strict directive demanding the immediate resignation of all political appointees who have switched their allegiance to rival political parties.

These officials have been granted a tight 48-hour window to vacate their positions, adding that those who fail to comply face immediate termination and the complete forfeiture of all salaries and state benefits.

The ultimatum, communicated through the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, frames this purge as a necessary measure to safeguard the integrity of the state government.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that public office requires total commitment to the current administration’s vision and policy direction, arguing that divided loyalties threaten to compromise the government from within.

Fintiri according to the statement said, “Public office is held in trust and must align with the vision, agenda, and mandate of the administration.
“Government cannot condone divided loyalty in the discharge of public trust.”
To ensure total compliance, the Governor has activated a robust administrative monitoring process, stressing that all affected appointees must tender their formal resignation letters to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The governor also tasked the SSG, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service, to compile a definitive list of defectors to track compliance.
The governor also warned that failure to resign by the deadline will result in instant dismissal, the immediate cessation of all financial entitlements, and the potential for additional administrative penalties.
The administration remains firm on the stance that continued service by those aligned with opposition parties risks sabotage, the leakage of sensitive government data, and the intentional obstruction of critical policy implementation.
The statement further said the directive of the governor takes immediate effect.
