Voters were left stranded at various polling locations in Bauchi local Government , with no clear direction, coordination, or official presence to guide the conduct of the exercise.
Our correspondent, who visited Baba Sidi Ward and several other wards, observed large numbers of voters gathered under the sun, patiently waiting for election materials that had yet to arrive hours after the expected commencement of the process.
The situation created diappointment among party members, many of whom had turned out early with the expectation that the exercise would begin as scheduled.
By around 5pm, officials who were expected to supervise and coordinate the direct primaries were still not on ground.
Similar scenes were recorded in other wards visited by our correspondent, where frustrated party members waited for several hours without any clear communication.
As the delay persisted, a number of voters eventually began leaving the venues in disappointment, citing lack of organization and poor coordination of the process.
