A Bauchi-based philanthropist, Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of seven residents of Misau who lost their lives in a ghastly auto crash along Bauchi-Misau Road.
The victims who were identified as Alh. Alkali Galadima, Alh. Abba Abbo, Garba Babaji, Alh. Dogo Fawari, Guruza, Ibrahim (Gucho) and Ibrahim Kafinta died in a ghastly auto-crash last Saturday at Inkil, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis, shortly after attending a wedding solemnization in Bauchi.
Wunti, who is also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), distributed rice and other food items to support each of the bereaved families in this trying moment.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO), Kamal Ibrahim and made available to reporters in Bauchi, the incident was described as a painful loss not only to the affected families but also to the entire Misau Emirate and Bauchi State.
Wunti who was represented during a condolence visit to the Emir of Misau and the bereaved families by the Chief Executive Officer of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO), Malam Mukhtar Ahmed Jarmajo, said the tragedy came as a great shock.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, admit them into Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant their families, the Emirate and the entire community the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
He reaffirmed that standing with communities in moments of grief and difficulty remains a core value that defines his humanitarian engagements.
He noted that while no words can replace the lives lost, sharing in the pain of bereaved families reflects the enduring bonds of compassion, solidarity and mutual support that strengthen society during challenging times.
Responding, the Emir of Misau, His Royal Highness, Alh Ahmed Suleiman, expressed appreciation to Dr. Bala Wunti for the condolence visit and for identifying with the people of Misau during their moment of mourning.
The Emir described Wunti as a rallying force for unity and community development whose consistent humanitarian interventions have continued to inspire hope across Bauchi State.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to reward Dr. Wunti abundantly for his kindness, compassion and unwavering commitment to the welfare of humanity.
