Emir of Lame in Bauchi State, Alh. Aliyu Yakubu Lame has declared that the state governor, Bala Mohammed has delivered good governance to the people of State, saying that his achievements in office over the past seven years have been “remarkable”.
The Monarch said this while congratulating the Governor on his 68th birthday in a statement by his media aide, Babangida Suleiman Lame, on Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of his subjects, the Emir described the Governor’s tenure in the State being marked by “wisdom, peace, and progress.”
He said: “Your reign has witnessed a remarkable transformation in traditional leadership and meaningful collaboration with all people of Bauchi State, a collaboration that transformed the State, in fact your guidance and statesmanlike disposition have remained a source of inspiration to all of us in the State.
He said “Your Excellency, your journey is one of wisdom, courage and unwavering service to the people of Bauchi State. You are a leader who listens; a builder who dreams and a governor who delivers dividends of democracy to the electorate.
“At 68, your vision continues to inspire, your leadership unites, and your legacy shines brighter than ever across our beloved Bauchi State. Under your leadership, Bauchi State enjoys a peaceful atmosphere, becoming one of the most peaceful states in the country.”
The monarch urged leaders to provide good governance and ensure that the country’s resources are used for the benefit of the people, stressing that it is abnormal for Nigerians to be surrounded by abundant resources yet experience hardship and deprivation.
